Shine

I am looking forward to my first Star of Hope Annual Banquet! These past nine months as CEO have been life-changing for me, as I witness our faithful team as they are joyful and hopeful in the face of the world’s brokenness.

The event will be held Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Hilton Americas-Houston Hotel. I want to thank our Host Committee Chairs, The Goolsby Family, for serving as ambassadors for this year’s event and their ongoing support of Star of Hope.

At the Banquet, we will honor Jay Stevens with the George and Barbara Bush Points of Light Award for his decades of exemplary volunteer service to Star of Hope.

We are pleased to have Mac Powell as our special musical performer at Banquet! Mac is best known as the founder and lead vocalist of Third Day and now his solo albums “New Creation” and “I love Jesus.” He also co-authored the book “The Soul Shines Through” and it serves as the inspiration for the Banquet theme “Shine” from the scripture: “Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.” Matthew 13:43.

The highlight will be hearing the testimonies of folks whose life’s have been forever changed by the ministry. I hope you will join me in supporting Star of Hope and the good work being done in Christ’s name for more than 117 years! Tables and Individual tickets are now available. There is still time to register and reserve a spot. Thank you for all that you do to support Star of Hope and our city’s homeless men, women and children.
